Welcome Our New Additions to Club Leadership
Dec 16, 2008
The New York Young Republican Club would like to welcome all the new committee chairs to the Board of Governors.
Elizabeth Byrne will be taking on the Club's Outreach Committee, a role that will be vital in introducing (or reintroducing) our organization directly with neighborhood and community groups in the City of New York.
Liz Froment has signed on to handle the planning of our Monthly Social Events. The YR is committed to hosting a monthly social as often as our Speaker Forum and with the success of our 2008 Holiday Party, we can expect great things from this committee.
Regina Hammer will be heading our Law Committee, helping the Club with Event Contracts, Bylaw revisions and the do's and don'ts of a non-profit.
Adam Librot will be in charge of the YR's technology, ranging from this website, our accounts and how our organization can better serve young professionals in the changing information age.
Katie Manzi takes on our Public Relations committee. She will be handling all functions of communications with this organization outside of the communication functions of the President.
Jared Stone will help the YR with fundraising functions and financial matters. Mr. Stones years of experience should help this organization sustain itself in a city that largely tilts Leftward.
Bryan Yurcan will use his experience in journalism to front the Policy Committee. We expect to play a vital role in defining Republican Politics in 2009, since it appears the NY GOP has drifted from the principles of Ronald Reagan and a "progressive-conservative" agenda. Our hopes are to define a platform for the urban republicans that choose to run in the City of New York.
We will be adding more members to our Board of Governors in the coming weeks, so you will likely see another entry soon. If you would like to assist any of our new chairs in their committees, you can email us at info@nycyr.org. We hope that a strong growing Young Republican organization will bring successes to the Republican Party for 2009 and beyond.
