Feb 11 Forum: Sgt Joe Skelly, Joseph Fallon, Jonathan Judge

Joseph Morrison Skelly is the editor of the recently published volume Political Islam from Muhammad to Ahmadinejad: Defenders, Detractors, and Defintions (Praeger Security International), which systematically scrutinizes Islamism, the ideology of our enemies. He will reflect on the features of this ideology and discuss a strategy for victory in the War on Islamist Terror, particularly in the light of recent events at home and abroad. Dr. Skelly has published widely on the topics of international terrorism, international relations, military affairs, and university reform. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, a college professor in New York City, and a long-time association with the New York Young Republican Club.
Joseph E. Fallon, just completed work as an instructor at the US Army Intelligence Center at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. He taught "cultural awareness" to American and foreign military officers involved in intelligence, counter-intelligence, and interrogation. This included country studies on Afghanistan and Iraq, the tenants of Islam, Islamic extremism, cross cultural communication, rapport building and negotiations. He is a published author. In addition to his writings on US foreign policy, he wrote two seminal works on the rise of Islamic fundamentalism for the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He began his Masters Degree program at the American University of Cairo, Egypt and completed it at Columbia University's School of International and Public Policy. He has traveled to Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Jonathan J. Judge is a candidate for City Council in a Special Election for former councilman Simcha Felder's 44 district seat. Mr. Judge has bee President of the Brooklyn Young Republican Club for the past three years and is a vice-chairman in the Kings Republican County Committee. He's a graduate of Brooklyn College, a John Hopkins alumni, an NYU Grad student and currently the community coordinator for Community Board 14 in Brooklyn.

Marcus A. Winters is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. Winters conducts research and writes extensively on education policy, including topics such as school choice, high school graduation rates, accountability, and special education.
He has performed several studies on a variety of education policy issues including high-stakes testing, performance-pay for teachers, and the effects of vouchers on the public school system. His research has been published in the journals Education Finance and Policy, Economics of Education Review, Teachers College Record, and Education Next. His op-ed articles have appeared in numerous newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and USA Today and he is often quoted on education issues. Winters previously worked as the Senior Research Associate with Manhattan Institute senior fellow Jay P. Greene at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Susan Konig was a Westchester legislator candidate , whose battle is still on going, because her loss was less than 200 votes! A recount of the machines has narrowed her gap to 130 votes with nearly 400 paper ballots yet to be counted. Konig is also a mother of four, columnist for the NY Post, Washington Post, National Review Online, and Catholic Digest. She is also author of I Wear the Maternity Pants in This Family and Why Animals Sleep So Close to the Road (and Other Lies I Tell My Children).

Dr. Betsy McCaughey is an Adjunct Fellow with the Hudson Institute. Her areas of expertise are Health Care Policy, American Politics and Constitutional Law. She is founder and Chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths (RID) - a national campaign to support greater infection control in hospitals and other health care institutions. Her research on how to prevent infection deaths has been featured on ABC's Good Morning America, the CBS Morning Show, 20/20, Dateline NBC, and many other national television and radio programs. And her steps that patients can take to help protect themselves from infection was featured recently in the Wall Street Journal.
In 1994 Betsy McCaughey wrote an influential piece in The New Republic, which helped end the Democrat's nationalization of Healthcare. In 1994, she was elected Lieutenant Governor of New York alongside George Pataki on the Republican and Conservative lines. In 1998 McCaughey-Ross ran for governor on the Liberal Party line.
Since the re-introduction of the "Public Health Option" and other proposals, Betsy McCaughey has returned to the fight against nationalization of health care in a series of articles publications including Bloomberg.com, Investors Business Daily, The American Spectator, The Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post.
Raymond P. Martinez
Mr. Martinez oversees the visits of chiefs of state, heads of government and other international dignitaries who are in the United States to meet with the President, Vice President or Secretary of State. He also accompanies delegations representing the President at official ceremonies abroad.
Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Martinez served as New York State Commissioner of Motor Vehicles under Governor George Pataki from December 2000 to December 2005; as Assistant General Counsel to the Long Island Power Authority; as Special Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff for the New York State Attorney General; and as an attorney in private practice.
Kellyanne is a Republican strategist and pollster. She is President & CEO of The Polling Company, a full-service qualitative and quantitative research firm. She regularly appears as a guest on television and radio news programs and is frequently quoted in print.
Rob is the Republican candidate for Westchester County Executive.
Nick Adams

Star Parker is the founder and president of CURE, the
Coalition on Urban Renewal & Education, a non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in the media, inner city neighborhoods, and public policy. She has debated Jesse Jackson on BET; fought for school choice on Larry King Live; defended welfare reform on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and spoke at the 1996 Republican National Convention.
Mark Leslie
Mayor Mark Leslie is the former Mayor of Waukee, Iowa, the fastest growing city in the state of Iowa. He will discuss his experience of being a political leader in a red state, the path he took to become mayor, and how those lessons can be applied to blue state republican politics. He will also discuss how his experience in politics introduced him to the importance of public service.
Mayor Leslie now resides in Princeton, New Jersey, and is currently a Divisional Vice President for Macy's Department Stores in New York City. He received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and his MBA in Marketing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
