7th ANNUAL RONALD REAGAN BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION & AWARDS DINNER

On Wednesday, February 17, 2010, the New York Young Republican Club will host its Annual Ronald Reagan Birthday Celebration & Awards Dinner at the Women's National Republican Club in midtown Manhattan. This is our biggest event of the year where we'll honor prominent and notable Republicans and feature many invited guests.

Our Master of Ceremonies will be Joel Mowbray, an award-winning investigative journalist and nationally-syndicated columnist. In 2003, Joel was named “Journalist of the Year” at the Conservative Political Action Conference and won the Eugene Katz award for excellence in immigration coverage.

Honorees include:

Lawrence Kudlow is host of CNBC’s primetime “The Kudlow Report,” which airs nightly from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. He is also co-host of CNBC’s “The Call” daily from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. He hosts “The Larry Kudlow Show” on WABC Radio on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Larry is CEO of Kudlow & Co., LLC, an economic and investment research firm. He is also a nationally syndicated columnist and author. Mr. Kudlow is a familiar face in Washington and on Wall Street – a renowned free market, supply-side economist armed with knowledge, vision, and integrity acquired over a career spanning three decades.

Hon. Serphin R. Maltese was first elected to the New York State Senate in November of 1988 on the Republican, Conservative and Right to Life Party lines. He was reelected for ten terms on the Republican, Conservative and Independence Party lines, serving a total of 20 years, despite almost a 2 ½ to 1 Democrat Party enrollment advantage in the district. He was elected a New York State Reagan-Bush Elector in the 1980 and 1984 presidential elections. He also served as New York State Chairman of Conservatives for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and is a member of the Reagan Alumni President’s Club. He served for seven years as a member of Senator D'Amato's Federal Judicial Selection Panel. He has served for more than 25 years on the National Board of Directors of the American Conservative Union.

Rep. Scott Garrett was first elected to represent New Jersey’s Fifth Congressional District in November 2002. Currently in his third term in Congress, Scott has become a leading advocate for the family budget. His commonsense fiscal responsibility led to his unanimous election by his colleagues to the House Republican Policy Committee, the think tank for Republican ideas. As a member of the House Budget Committee, Scott Garrett is a budget hawk, carefully monitoring the federal budget for waste, fraud and abuse that drains tax dollars from the family budget. He has been a champion of greater transparency in federal spending; of a sunset commission to root out ineffective, duplicative, or obsolete federal programs; and of putting the family budget first.Scott Garrett’s agenda of pro-growth economic policies, tax relief, and, job-creating support for America’s small businesses has earned him honors from the National Federation of Independent Business, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Citizens Against Government Waste, National Taxpayers Union, Americans for Prosperity, and more.
